NetCare Project Welcomes a New Researcher in March 2026
PhD student Tuuli Innola, who is finalising her doctoral thesis in Gender Studies, began her position as a project researcher in the Networked Care: Intimate Matters in Online Mental Health Support research project in March 2026. Her research expertise includes feminist new materialisms, intimacy, affect, and temporality.
In the project, she will especially carry out research on psychotherapy and patient data, with a focus on temporality, time and vital matter. In particular, her research examines the shift in legislation, which obliges psychotherapists to store patient information in a digital register. This research sheds light on the intersection of mental and digital vulnerabilities from the perspectives of patient autonomy and data rights.
